- Event description – Cut and prepare parts for childrens’ desks. Desks to be donated through BMABStL to children in the St. Louis region. Volunteers will work in pairs or alone to perform one or more of the following tasks, rip boards to width on the table saw, cut boards to lengths on the miter saw, drill pocket holes using a Krey jig, and drill a 3-1/4″ hole using a Forstner bit on the drill press. Tools will be provided but volunteers should bring their own hearing and eye protection. Also, volunteers may want to bring an apron.
- Before we begin the day leaders will go through the process and procedures, proper use of gauges and jigs, and answer all questions.
