Toy Pattern: Snowman

Tools

  • Band Saw or Scroll saw
  • Sanders – Disc, Belt or Spindle
  • Drill Press with 1/16″ bit
  • Sand paper or emery boards 

Material

  • 1/8″ to 1/4″″ wood 

Instructions

  1. Make pattern from print of Snowman by gluing to a piece of cardboard.
  2. Cut pattern to shape.
  3. Draw shape on wood surface and locate drill center.
  4. Saw item from material. Easier cutting will result if you double face tape 4 – 6 pieces of wood together.
  5. Drill 1/16″ hole for hanging.
  6. Smooth edges with disc or spindle sander
  7. Sand to ease rough or sharp edges.
  8. Rub your hands over the entire assembly to make sure there are not sharp edges or points.  Remove with sandpaper if any are found.
