Prerequisites:  None

Class description: 

We will go over the basic types of epoxy types and uses, mixing, pouring, and wood preparation.

We will go over the steps on pouring a wood slab. I will demonstrate the steps on a charcuterie board.

We will go over the steps on flattening and finishing a slab.

We will go over casting pours for blanks for turning/or handle blanks.

I will supply a pine cone and resin blank that can be used to turn an object such as an epoxy egg, pen blank, or knife handle scales.

Materials and supplies that attendees are expected to bring to class:

Each participant to bring their own dust mask/ respirator.

Materials that will be provided by the Guild:

I will be supplying an epoxy pine cone blank for each student and the epoxy for the demonstration.
