Prerequisites:  Guild Safety Class

Materials and supplies that attendees are expected to bring:  None

Materials that will be provided by the Guild:  All lumber, hinges and screws will be furnished by the Guild.  Materials will be cherry lumber.

Other items Students need to bring to class:  None unless you want to use a different wood which you must bring with you.

Class description:   A small box will be made during class.  4/4 cherry will be used for the top and will be resawn for box sides; ¼ Baltic Birch plywood will be used for the bottom. Box will have a hinged top and a latch.  Class will include a discussion of alternate tops including lift off, integral cut off lid or a sliding top. Boxes will be finished with one coat of shellac and directions for final finishing will be furnished.
