Coarse description: This class is intended for beginning woodworkers who are not familiar with the power equipment in our shop.  You will have an opportunity to use the table saw, band saw, scroll saw, router table, trim router, drill press, jointer and planer and will make 2 or 3 small projects to get familiar with this equipment. We will work from drawings that show dimensions of the components so you will learn how to read a drawing if you do not already know how. Most of the projects will be made from soft wood, but you can make some from poplar if you choose to.

Prerequisite:  SLWG Safety Class

Lunch Break:  A 30 minute lunch so plan to bring some food to eat.

Material that each Attendee should bring: Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection.

Materials that the Guild will supply: Wood, glue, screws, etc. Shop has a good selection of tools to use.
