Prerequisites: None.  No previous Sketch Up experience needed.

Materials and supplies that attendees are expected to bring:  Laptop computer and a separate Three button mouse (with a clickable center wheel). The built in laptop track pad is not sufficient.

Materials that will be provided by the Guild:  Everything else needed.  The web version of Sketch Up will be used and can be downloaded during the first class.

The Guild is following the St Louis County Covid guidelines. If you are fully vaccinated, no mask is required. If not vaccinated, a mask is recommended, but not mandatory.

Class description:  Sketch Up is a 3D modeling program used by architects, woodworkers, modelers and others.  The class starts with basic commands and proceeds with sketching, drawing, dimensioning, rendering, duplication, arrays, textures, scenes, layers (tags), generating and printing cutlists and plans, groups and components, among others. The class is oriented for woodworkers and cabinet makers.  The vehicle for teaching will be a real furniture project.

The class will run for 8 consecutive weeks on Wednesdays and will be held at the Elaine Rosi Academy for Children, 8900 Manchester Rd – Brentwood.

You will register for each session separately and pay a fee for each session.
