The Rockwood Toy Program has ended.  We currently have about 100 toy kits in inventory that need to be assembled so they can be donated for the Toys for Tots program.

The Rockwood program had guild members make the parts for various toys that 4th grade kids in the school assembled.  Kits of varying complexity were prepared for airplanes, trucks, road graders, front end loaders, excavators, etc. and the kids glued and screwed them together.  Written instructions were prepared to aid the children and will be available.

This class will be beneficial for beginning woodworkers who want to learn about toy making and for all guild members who want to make a contribution to a community event.

Participants will gain experience assembling small parts and using a pin nailer to hold parts in place while glue dries.  Rockwood kids did not use a pin nailer, but this will greatly speed the process.
